YOUR GOAL IS OUR OBJECTIVE
We strive to enhance your training and racing experience to elevate your performance to the next level. Through individualized training programs tailored specifically to you, D1 Multisport will help you to realize your true athletic potential.
Multisport training and racing have been important parts of my life since college. I spent two years earning an Associates Degree at Suffolk Community College in the Fitness Specialist program. After graduating, I transferred to SUNY Brockport for Physical Education/ Teacher Certification. While at Brockport, I also earned a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology. Having the opportunity to work in a VO2 lab setting provided me with first-hand experience witnessing the effects of training on the human body and learning how to utilize this information to increase fitness levels. Understanding the benefits of aerobic and anaerobic training empowered me to effectively train my body for multisport events. An extensive knowledge base in sport skills, nutrition, and recovery enabled me to increase my fitness levels and endurance to that of a successful, competitive triathlete.
Since beginning my triathlon career in 1997, I have completed 12 Ironman races with a personal best of 9:36. I have also accumulated 26 short course triathlon/duathlon/Xterra victories. As a USAT Certified Coach and the founder and head coach of D1Multisport for the past 10 years, I have compiled a long list of athletes who have found success under my guidance. My extensive experience enables me to provide an effective and individualized training plan toward the accomplishment of your goals.
For just under 10 years, multisport training and racing has been a way of life for me. Through out my journey in the multisport scene I have accumulated countless age group wins, podium finishes, and several overall race wins. After racing IM Lake Placid in 2017 (my first) with a finish of 10:44:39, my body needed a little break and decided to spend a year focused entirely on cycling. Throughout 2018 I raced in NYC, Central Park, Prospect Park, Long Island & more. During that time I also began to place within the top 10 of mass start events and even took some wins both in sprint finishes and solo breakaways (like a true triathlete).
So whether your goal is to smash a PR, win your age group, claim a podium spot or take on an Ironman; I can help guide you on your path to achieving your goals. Through first-hand experience in the sport and the guidance of Coach Gary Jensen, I know just what it takes to accomplish all of these challenges and have been successful helping others do the same.
